Valbusenda “Cepas Viejas” – Toro DO 2012
Power shaped by time.
This wine comes from the heart of Toro, one of Spain’s most extreme wine regions, where scorching summers, icy winters and poor soils push the vines to their limits.
Made from Tinta de Toro, a local and more powerful expression of the Tempranillo family, this wine is sourced from very old vines, some up to 80 years old. Low yields and deep roots result in remarkable concentration and intensity.
In the glass, it shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is rich and expressive, with black cherry, blackberry and ripe plum, followed by notes of cocoa, vanilla and dark spice from extended oak aging.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, dense and warm, with ripe, structured tannins and impressive depth. Despite its power, it remains balanced, finishing long and savory with lingering notes of dark fruit and spice.
Aged for over 24 months in French oak, this is a wine that speaks of patience, control and experience.
🎬 Tasted blind in our trusted Gabriel-Glas, it immediately stood out for its intensity and maturity.
👉 Best enjoyed at 16–18 °C. A perfect match for braised beef, lamb, game or rich, slow-cooked dishes.
🍇 Fun fact: Toro is one of the few European regions where some vineyards survived the phylloxera crisis thanks to sandy soils — making old vines a true part of the region’s identity.
A serious wine with depth, warmth and authority.

Libre y Salvaje “El Pedregal” – Cariñena DO 2019
Wild, honest and driven by terroir.
“El Pedregal” means “the stony place” — a name that perfectly reflects both the vineyard and the philosophy behind this wine.
Produced from 100% Cariñena (Carignan) grown on rocky, nutrient-poor soils, this wine comes from old vines and is made in a minimal-intervention style, allowing the vineyard to speak clearly and without make-up.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby red color. The nose is fresh and expressive, offering red cherry, red berries, dried herbs and earthy notes, with a subtle mineral edge.
On the palate, the wine is vibrant, precise and energetic. High natural acidity brings freshness and tension, while fine, grippy tannins give structure without heaviness. The finish is dry, clean and distinctly mineral.
Production is highly limited, with each bottle individually numbered — a true small-batch wine.
👉 Best enjoyed at 16–17 °C. Perfect with grilled dishes, Mediterranean cuisine, tapas or simply at the table with good conversation.
🍇 Fun fact: Cariñena was long underestimated as a grape, but old vines and low yields have revealed its true potential — today it’s one of the most exciting comeback stories in Spanish wine.
A wine that doesn’t shout — but speaks clearly.
